MTL part 4

Last night we went to 281 ( but we were seated all the way in the back!!) with Gabi and her sis and when we were tired of watching the action from a distance, we went to Rachel Rachel.

I wore the new heels and they were super comfy!

MTL part 3

Today, I went back to Tavan & Mitto where I did my internship and it was so good to see my bosses again. I felt so nostalgic and I can't believe it has been a year already.

I met up with Ditte later that afternoon and we had dinner in Chinatown. Btw, we didn't get sick. Just sayin' ;)

In the evening we went up mont royal and paid the church St-Joseph a visit.

Twinners

Winners is a great place to shop for fancy things for low prices. Ditte (my twin) and I went there today and I found "Lucious", a chunky heeled sling-back peeptoes from Society86. I can't wait to wear them!

O.P.I

I admit it. I'm OPI obsessed!!! These are my three favorite colors right now.

I'm wearing "You don't know jaques-matte"

The middle one is "Tickle my francey"

The one to the right is "Parlez-vous OPI?"

MTL Girls Night Out

Last night we had dinner at restaurant Academy on st-denis with Gab, Kimmie and Christina Sgro. It was packed and apparently a really popular place to go on Saturday nights.

Afterwards, we went dancing at Rouge where my heels proved to be great battle shoes (before they started hurting my heels)

Mtl nails

This is my new favorite color. It's called Snappy Sorbet and is bright orange. It brings out my tan!

MTL part 2

The weather is amazing here in Montreal. That's why we had a beautiful picnic with delicious food and sangria in the park. It was a party of four: Kimmie, Gab, Ditte and myself.

Of course we HAD to stop by Tim Horton's. Plus, they are pretty hard to miss. Party pictures are coming up when I return to dk. I promise!

What to do?

My daddy's birthday is coming up and I want to paint him something. I just don't know what. I feel uninspired and I want it to be perfect. He is a construction engineer by trade and is hard to please, aesthetically, which makes it quite a difficult task.

I built this figure in SketchUp 10.5. It's plain boundary representation, with the geometry as the only parametric constraint. I think it's an excellent modeling platform for newbies like me. The plan was to paint it in a light color on a dark background but my mom hated it so it was discarded.

Real life batmobile

This is the coolest paint job ever! Matte black just like batman and paramilitary militias prefer it.

Nail It

I truly believe that your hands give away your age. That's why I often moisturize my hands and remove the cuticles. Majken Frandsen, who owns Nail Zone in Copenhagen, is the one who always keep my hands and nails looking beautiful (and young nonetheless).

If you're fond of wearing nail polish once in a while or a lot, make sure that you use a base coat. This will prevent your nails from turning yellow from wearing nail polish. If your nails are already yellow or yellowish, try soaking them in a bowl of lemon and lukewarm water. If it doesn't work, just keep wearing nail polish ;)

Here are some of my favorite colors from Essie. Red and black are timeless must-haves!

DIY lipstick

It's not breaking news that there are millions of DIY videos and blogs out there, but I found this one that I wanted to share with the ladies ( and gentlemen who are very in touch with their femme side!). This is so easy and so genius.

I, of course, use the Danish vaseline:

Happy B-day Johnny!!!

Yesterday, August 11th, was my brother Johnny's birthday. He is in Vancouver right now so I didn't get the chance to celebrate with him, but knowing my family I'm sure that they had great fun. So I made a little collage with old pictures of us. We have A LOT of old photos so these are just a few of them. Here's Johnny...!

Tommy's 60th birthday

I was invited by my friend, Sarah and her lovely parents to her dad's 60th b-day reception. There's a buffet table with delicious food and sparkling drinks. It's awesome ! He's being showered with gifts and wine (especially!)

The brown blazer

A few weeks ago I found this really nice fabric on sale (brown cotton suit fabric) and I bought it without the slightest idea of what to do with it. I am not the best nor am I the most experienced seamstress but I tried my best and it came out not too bad.

On the 7th day we rested

So as I mentioned in the previous post, I missed my flight. I was supposed to leave at 7.30 am and I woke up at 7.15. My alarm was mute for some reason or I have become immune to it. Maybe it's both?

Joakim, Trung (Joakim's friend from Aalborg) and I went for a morning stroll by the harbour to walk off any hangover there might have been and walked right into this turbine that was capable of simulating various wind velocities, from breezy to hurricane strength! FUN!

Aalborg knows how to party!

I think that both Joakim and I were really tired by saturday afternoon. At dance practice I just goofed around and tried hard not to fall asleep on the floor. I better blur out my tired face!

By the time the sun had set we decided to buy energy drinks and boooiiii did they work. We had some friends over and pre-partied till it was time to go see Kidd in concert.

We had a beautiful night and I ended up missing my (really early) flight. (And boooiii does Aalborg like Kidd. It was mad!)
